The Collaborative Initiatives Fund (CIF) is designed to foster collaboration among Switzer Fellows who are working on similar issues in order to leverage their individual and organizational resources to advance progress on that issue. This will be achieved by funding two or more Fellows to implement new joint activities and projects that result in specific products or outcomes focusing on an environmental issue. For example, Fellows may collaborate on climate change, river restoration policy, renewable energy, environmental health advocacy, etc. Outcomes that produce policy recommendations, coordinated testimony or advocacy that applies science to policy and practice for tangible results is encouraged.
