Fall Retreats Scheduled - Save the Date and Register!

Draft agendas for the Switzer Foundation Fall Fellows' Retreats are now available!
NEW ENGLAND: September 16-18, 2011, Essex Conference Center and Retreat, Essex, MA (DRAFT AGENDA)
CALIFORNIA: September 30-October 2, 2011, The Headlands Institute, Sausalito, CA (DRAFT AGENDA)
(Note: 2011 Fellows must attend the retreat in their region and should plan to arrive on the Friday evening of the retreat for orientation.)
Each retreat will feature:
Media Communications training with experienced communications
consultants and journalists, designed to prepare Fellows to effectively
communicate with the media and other audiences.This training will
include:
- A messaging training led by COMPASS (Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea)
- Mock media interviews with Jerry Kay of MediaInterchange.The mock
interviews will be available to all 2011 Fellows, current Leadership
Grantees, and if time permits, past Fellows and Grantees. (If you are
