SAVE THE DATE!

NEW ENGLAND:  September 11-12, 2010, Essex Conference Center and Retreat, Essex, MA

CALIFORNIA:  October 2-3, 2010, The Headlands Institute, Sausalito, CA

The agendas for the Switzer Foundation Fall Fellows’ Retreats are being finalized!  Invitations will be sent shortly.  In the meantime, please save the date for the retreat of your choice! 

(Note:  2010 Fellows must attend the retreat in their region and should plan to arrive on the Friday evening of the retreat for orientation. )

 Each retreat will feature:

 Media Communications training with experienced communications consultants and journalists, designed to prepare Fellows to effectively communicate with the media and other audiences.  This training will include:

  • A messaging training led by COMPASS (Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea)
  • Mock media interviews with Jerry Kay of MediaInterchange.  The mock interviews will be available to all 2010 Fellows, current Leadership Grantees, and if time permits, past Fellows and Grantees.  (If you are interested in having your work profiled on an upcoming Switzer Network News video podcast, contact Erin for more information.)

Leadership and professional development skills coaching.

Time for socializing and networking.
