The Robert and Patricia Switzer Foundation has two grant programs to support its
mission. The Switzer Environmental Fellowship Program assists talented graduate
students in New England and California who are dedicated to environmental problem
solving and whose training and commitment position them to become leaders in the
environmental field. The Switzer Foundation programs are managed by the Robert & Patricia Switzer Foundation in Belfast, Maine.
The Leadership Grants Program funds collaborative projects between non-profit
environmental organizations and Switzer Fellowship Alumni. This grant program
aims to build the capacity of the environmental non-profit and public sector by
supporting new positions and projects that use the expertise of Switzer Fellows
toward specific environmental problems.
In addition to these environmental grant programs, the Switzer Fellowship Network
is a service of communication links and networking opportunities for all Switzer
Fellowship Alumni, Leadership Grantees and environmental colleagues who
participate as mentors, fellowship selection panel members and advisors. The
Switzer Fellowship Network is an effort to help Fellows link with each other,
strengthen and promote the work of Fellows and Leadership Grant Program
recipients and help the Foundation track the longer-term results of Fellows'
achievements and professional development needs as they move through their
careers.
