The fall retreats are the cornerstone event of the Switzer Fellowship Network, in which we welcome new Fellows, and bring alumni together for a weekend of learning, socializing and networking. The following is the working agenda for the California fall retreat, but please check back frequently for updates. (Note: all program activities will take place in the Coast Room, all meals will be in the dining hall.)

Friday, October 13th
1:30 pm Arrival and Check-in for 2017 Fellows
2 - 5 pm Introductions, orientation, and Flash Talks
5 - 6 pm Free time (settle in to rooms, check out the trails); Alumni arrival and check-in
6 - 7 pm Dinner
7 - 9 pm Social Time, Campfire
Saturday, October 14th
8 - 9 am Breakfast
9 - 5 pm Training: Connecting as Leaders. Once again, we are partnering with Rockwood Leadership Institute to offer this one-day intensive leadership training for new Fellows and interested alumni. The session will be designed to help you understand personal awareness as part of collaborative leadership, increase your skillfulness in working across difference and understanding issues of power and equity, and increase your personal sustainability. It will be a significant opportunity to build community with other Fellows and strengthen your own leadership practice.

6 - 7 pm Dinner
7 - 9 pm Social time, Campfire
Sunday, October 15th
8 - 9 am Breakfast
9-10:30 am Re-convene, welcome new alumni arrivals, morning activities (TBD).
10:30-12:00 Keynote Speaker: Parin Shah, Senior Strategist, Asian Pacific Environmental Network
12-12:30 Presentation of 2017 Fellowship awards, group photos
12:30-1:30 Lunch
1:30 Depart
