Network Call: Conservation for Climate Adaptation with Fellows Doug Johnson and Sarah Skikne

Wednesday, May 17, 2017 - 12:30pm

WebEx Meeting Center

This conversation will bring together the Switzer Network to explore the intersection of climate change preparedness and conservation. We will discuss the range of current efforts with Switzer Fellows Doug Johnson, Executive Director of the California Invasive Plant Council, and Sarah Skikne, Ph.D. candidate at UC Santa Cruz. We will discuss the range of current efforts with Elizabeth Tully of the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Climate Adaptation Fund, and hear from John Nordgren of the Climate Resilience Fund about the prognosis for stronger funding.  We hope you'll join to participate in this important conversation.

Our networking calls provide an informal way for Fellows and their colleagues to connect with each other on topics that directly inform their work. We'll provide information about those participating in the call ahead of time. We use WebEx Meeting Center, so participants have a chance to network face-to-face using their webcams (optional). This presentation will also include slides, which will only be visible to participants logged in on the WebEx interface. Call times are listed in the Eastern time zone.
