TEDx Switzer Countdown Event
Timezone:
Location:
Join us on Thursday, November 12th to hear from global thought leaders and activists and from our own Switzer Fellows about new opportunities to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis.
In October, TEDx launched Countdown - a new global initiative - with the goal to cut climate emissions in half by 2030 and build a safer, cleaner, and fairer world for all. On November 12th, the Switzer network will be joining this community of changemakers committed to climate action. At this TEDx Switzer Countdown event, we will hear from global leaders and Switzer Fellows working on innovative climate solutions, and have the opportunity to engage in discussion across the network to motivate our own climate action.
Featured Switzer Fellows include:
- Jessica Shade, The Organic Center: Leveraging ecosystem services to feed the world
- Jill Kauffman Johnson, Corbion: From Beer to Algae - the future of a low carbon food system
- Kevin Kung, Takachar: Trash is cash: turning stranded plant-based residues into higher-value products
- Karleen Boyle, The Science Place: Less talk, more action! Catalyzing climate change solutions now
The event will be held on Thursday, November 12, 12:30 - 2 PM Pacific / 3:30 - 5 PM Eastern. #JoinTheCountdown.
