Switzer Fellow Dr. Kimberley Miner and NASA colleague Dr. Chip Miller were interviewed by NASA Earth about their recent research on emergent biogeochemical risks from Arctic permafrost degradation. They explain the basics of permafrost, how contaminants wind up in permafrost and how we can learn about potential extraterrestrial life from studying arctic environments. Watch the interview here.
