Linda Walker

Biography

As manager of WWF's Global Forest & Trade Network - North America program, Linda works with North American companies that are committed to more responsible sourcing of forest products. Linda has also worked as a Forest Stewardship Council auditor with Rainforest Alliance's SmartWood program, and with The Nature Conservancy managing land stewardship and conservation real estate projects. Linda holds a Masters of Forestry degree from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies where she focused on forest certification and the, Indonesian pulp and paper sector. She holds a B.A. in Geography from Bucknell University. Linda's interest is in business-conservation partnerships, sustainable forestry, orangutan conservation, and threats of forest conversion from oil palm and pulp plantation development.
