Sumreen Mirza

Biography

Sumreen Mirza earned her B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and a joint master's degree in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. As a Switzer Fellow she studied policy and technology trends in environmental protection in Karachi, Pakistan. Her professional interests relate to megacities in the developing world and practical ways to encourage sustainable urban development. She joined the US Department of State in 2005 and is serving her third assignment in the Bureau of Oceans, Environment, and Science.
