Susan Lund

Biography

Susan worked as an agroforestry volunteer for the Peace Corps in the Philippines. Her present research focuses on the strategies that poor farmers in the Philippines uplands use to cope with the income fluctuations inherent to agriculture. The goal of Susan's work is to understand the motivations underlying farmers' interactions with their environment in the developing world and devise appropriate policy responses. She plans to continue economic research with an emphasis on the environment in a nonacademic setting.
