Andrew spent 10 years as an environmental engineering consultant, followed by 4 years with United Technologies Corporation working on the investigation and remediation of soil and groundwater contamination. In 2000 he completed his MBA at Carnegie-Mellon University and joined the United Technologies Research Center, conducting business strategy analysis with a focus on fuel cells and other distributed generation technologies. He subsequently managed market analysis and executive communications at UTC Power, a division of United Technologies that develops and manufactures environmentally advanced power systems (including fuel cells) for buildings, buses, automobiles and spacecraft. Currently, he is Sustainable Strategies Leader at UTC Power, supporting UTC's work with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and a consortium of leading international companies to develop a roadmap toward zero net energy buildings. Andrew also serves on the board of directors for the Connecticut Audubon Society and the Connecticut Ornithological Association, and is the Connecticut coordinator for the North American Breeding Bird Survey.
