About Mark's Work

Mark works as an independent ecological consultant. He has worked on a wide variety of conservation projects for the state Heritage Program, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and a number of local conservation organizations. Projects have included searching for rare invertebrates (odonates, butterflies, and tiger beetles), mark/recapture studies of snakes and turtles, plant and natural community inventories, and writing conservation plans for local land trusts. He has been fortunate to find projects that are both fun to work on and that embody a commitment to local conservation.
