About Eric's Work
Eric is now pursuing full-time commercial fishing, primarily as a hook fisherman working bottom long-lines or 'tub trawls' for cod and haddock out of Harwich, Massachusetts. He is also a fisheries advocate for the Georges Bank Hook sector and the Cape Cod Commercial Hook Fisherman's Association. He is involved in battles on several fronts: at the local level to preserve access to a working waterfront, at the regional level with the New England Fishery Management Council, and at the national level in Washington, D.C. to share the hook fishermens' vision of a healthier harvesting strategy.
