The Southwest Climate Change Initiative (Switzer Webinar Series)

Fellow(s): Patrick McCarthy

On March 29, 2011, Switzer Fellow Patrick McCarthy (1990), Director of the Southwest Climate Change Initiative at The Nature Conservancy in New Mexico, led a webinar for Fellows and colleagues on the response to climate change in the southwestern United States.  Patrick discussed TNC's response to the climate change challenge and the findings of the Initiative's newly completed four-state assessment of climate change exposure and vulnerability.  Patrick further shared progress toward climate adaptation at four demonstration landscapes in each of the Four Corners states, and lessons learned during the past couple of years of this Initiative.  Participants in this webinar included Switzer Fellows and colleagues from environmental organizations and government agencies across the country.
