About Anne's Work
Anne Short Gianotti is Associate Professor of Earth and Environment at Boston University where her research and teaching focus on the social and political dimensions of environmental change. Her ongoing research is centered in three overlapping areas: (1) the politics of wildlife management and conservation, (2) the justice and finance politics of urban climate action, and (3) urban biodiversity futures. In this work, she collaborates with researchers across disciplines and works directly with natural resource agencies, local governments, residents, and other decision-makers to connect her research with practice.
Anne holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College and an M.S. and Ph.D from the University of California Berkeley. In 2019-2020, she was a Charles Bullard Fellow based at the Arnold Arboretum, Harvard University.
