About Ben's Work
Ben is a Public Interest Scholar and J.D. candidate at Berkeley Law interested in intersectional racial, environmental, and economic justice litigation and policy advocacy.
Ben is an incoming legal fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council and has previously interned at the California Supreme Court and the Civil Rights Enforcement Section of the California Department of Justice. As part of his academic work, Ben has also completed research on expanding the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for environmental justice purposes and the unique tools local governments in California retain to combat microplastic leachate and other toxic pollution from landfills.
Prior to law school, Ben worked as a community organizer in the climate resilience and adaptation space and as an eviction defense paralegal in New York City. Ben is originally from the East Bay and graduated cum laude from Columbia University in 2019.
