Cross-Cohort Community Call
We’re excited to try a new format for a Switzer Network online gathering next month!
This community call will be a curated networking event where you are set up with other Switzer Fellows for one-on-one and small group conversations based on similar interests. It is open to all Switzer Fellows. This is a fun opportunity to get to know fellows from different cohorts and geographies! Please register for the event here, and let us know what you’d like to connect with other Switzer Fellows about! Registration deadline: October 17th
What to expect
Participants in this curated networking forum will get to meet up to 10 other Switzer Fellows in one-on-one and small group chats. We intentionally set up your meetings so that you can have conversations of mutual interest, and orchestrate the event so that you’re done after an hour. Hopefully over the course of the hour you think at least once “well, that conversation was too short!” and you follow up afterwards with your new connections.
Considerations when registering
Pulling this event together takes significant amounts of staff time as we work to personally match individuals who have common interests. It can be extremely disruptive if folks who register are unable to attend the session as we have to rework the matches we have identified for you during the event in real time. We will check-in with those who registered at several points to make sure you are still able to attend, but we want to share this with you here so you are mindful of this when registering and adding this to your calendar. It’s also OK to register and then cancel – but please give us as much notice as possible so we can re-assign your 1-on-1s before the call.
The Switzer Network Code of Conduct establishes norms and expectations for participation in virtual and in-person communication, meetings, and events sponsored by the foundation. We expect all stakeholders to abide by this Code of Conduct while attending Switzer events.
