New and Ancient Wisdom for Shared Leadership

-
Location: Zoom

Workshop description:

We are living in a moment of immense instability. Leaders are expected to model their values while balancing budgets, addressing staff discord, and navigating ideological conflicts. IISC has been supporting collaborative leaders and networks for years; still, to some people, shared leadership sounds like a new and even disruptive concept. In this session, we will explore how shared leadership and interdependence have always been common in nature and in movements for justice. Join us to reflect on lessons we’ve learned – and unlearned – on the path to transformative futures.

Together we’ll distill enduring leadership lessons for our times.

About the series:

This workshop is the second of IISC's Leadership for Transformative Futures three-part interactive learning experience. You do not need to participate in the entire series to sign up for one or multiple workshops. The intended audience is leaders of all kinds – organizers, network members, and those working for justice. Each session will help leaders dig into the complexity and reactivity of the moment. Together, we will explore the roots of a current critical issue, and IISC will offer tools with an eye on identifying opportunities to move towards transformative and equitable futures.

Switzer Fellows seats:

The Switzer Foundation will sponsor up to 10 seats for Switzer Fellows at each workshop. We will be offering these on a per workshop basis, not for the entire series at once. This interest form is only for the July 25 workshop. We will send out interest forms for subsequent workshops later.

If we have more than 10 interested fellows for a particular workshop, we will randomly choose participants from the interested list. (If you are not selected, you can still register independently using IISC’s sliding scale fee.)

Please ensure you will be able to attend and fully participate in the event if you sign up. If you sign up but later determine that you can no longer attend, please let us know so we can make your seat available to another fellow.

Please fill out the interest form by the end of day on July 16 in order to be considered. Selected participants will be notified by July 17.

I’m interested!
