Moch serves as Senior Advisor for Climate and Energy Policy for North Carolina Governor Stein

Jonathan Moch was named Senior Advisor for Climate and Energy Policy to North Carolina Governor Josh Stein in February 2025. 

Jonathan shared on LinkedIn that he was “delighted to be returning to North Carolina and honored to serve under the bold leadership of Governor Stein as we build a stronger, safer, cleaner, and more resilient state.”

Prior to this, Jonathan was Science and Technology Policy Advisor for the Office of the Special Presidential Envoy for Climate and Office of Global Change in the U.S. Department of State, where he designed, negotiated, and implemented international climate and energy initiatives and agreements.
