About Karen's Work

Karen Díaz Ruvalcaba is a Park Planning Assistant for LA County Parks. In the Trails Planning Section, they focus on the expansion and maintenance of the department’s 240+ miles of multi-use trails. They deeply enjoy their work at LA County Parks where they contribute towards making frontline communities more climate resilient through the creation of public open spaces and urban greening.
