About Marina's Work
Marina Dewinara Luccioni is a Corsican-Indonesian ecologist and experimental film-maker studying human and environmental health. She holds a B.S.H with honors in Human Biology in the Arts (film making) from Stanford University and is a Biosciences PhD candidate in the Crowder lab at Stanford University, co-advised by Uncle Mac Poepoe as part of the Nā Kai ‘Ewalu stewardship collective. Her PhD dissertation focuses on using chemical and molecular ecology in support of community-based and Indigenous ecological governance in Corsica, Hawai’i and California.
