About Margaret's Work

Margaret is the Program Head of the Climate Change and Carbon Management program which is part of the Earth Sciences Division of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her research focuses on carbon and nutrient cycling in terrestrial ecosystems and trace-gas flux between soil and atmosphere. She conducts research on soil carbon, global change, and the impacts of human activities on ecosystem processes. The primary approaches she uses are field experiments, elemental and isotopic measurements, and analytical modeling.
