About Sena's Work

Sena Wazer is a Master of Environmental Management student at Yale School of the Environment, specializing in People, Equity and the Environment and Climate Science and Solutions. Over the past five years, Sena has worked for Sierra Club Connecticut, The Climate Reality Project, and Sunrise Movement Connecticut. Her experiences range from regional organizing with volunteers, to anti-pipeline and legislative advocacy campaigns.

Sena focuses on community organizing as a mechanism for creating policy change, particularly at the state level and is a passionate advocate for climate justice policies that center racial and economic justice. Sena is originally from Mansfield, Connecticut and graduated summa cum laude in 2022 from the University of Connecticut, where she received the Truman Scholarship.
