Rafeed's research focuses on offshore wind development perceptions and impacts on coastal communities. Although Rafeed has a brain trained in natural and social sciences, his heart lies in photography and science communication.

DeNarae investigates factors influencing the consumption of hair care products in Black communities and strives to facilitate the equitable transfer of information and resources needed to create and promote viable, sustainable consumption efforts in underrepresented communities.

Dyanna is studying policies to guide long-haul economic transition pathways to mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis. Before graduate school, Dyanna organized with grassroots movements to design and win climate policy for over a decade.

Ben is an environmental and energy justice lawyer focused on fighting poverty and building sustainable futures in communities burdened by the fossil fuel industry. He is currently an attorney at Community Legal Services of Philadelphia, where he represents low-income Philadelphians struggling to afford their utilities.

Gabriela helps everyday communities achieve a more sustainable and equitable future through engagement and capacity-building. Currently the Network and Engagement Manager at UndauntedK12, she has contributed to impactful efforts at the U.S. Department of Energy, The CLEO Institute, and Yale University.

Chelsi Sparti is an energy professional with 12+ years of experience in North America, the Caribbean, Asia, and Europe. She holds a Master’s of Energy and Resources from UC Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Point Loma Nazarene University. Chelsi currently works for Brookfield Renewable where she studies and responds to electricity policy, regulation, and markets in the Western United States.

Nick is an ecologist, educator, and naturalist studying how native bees cope with the impacts of climate change in order to develop strategies for bee conservation. His public education efforts reconnect people with urban nature and teach them to support pollinators in their own yards.

Witnessing deforestation firsthand in Colombia motivated Natalia to become a conservation scientist. She now studies the connections between biodiversity, global change, and agriculture. Specifically, how climate and land-use change affect nature’s contributions to coffee production.

Nishaila studies urban resilience and the interdisciplinary role of policy. With experience in green infrastructure, she explores climate adaptation that prioritizes environmental justice. As a recent Revolutionary Power Fellow, she assisted with the Justice40 Initiative to ensure 40% of benefits flowed to disadvantaged communities nationally.
