About Lupe's Work
Lupe Franco is a doctoral candidate in the Geography Graduate Group at the University of California, Davis. Her research explores how unhoused individuals experience and navigate extreme weather conditions, with a focus on the systemic barriers that exacerbate their vulnerability. Lupe’s work sits at the intersection of climate justice, environmental justice, and homelessness. She is committed to developing a comprehensive framework that addresses the criminalization and dehumanization embedded in environmental and social policies, aiming to promote equitable solutions in climate adaptation planning.
